Frane Petrić monument

In front of the Arsan palace stands the bronze statue of Renaissance philosopher Frane Petrić (1529–1597) by Marija Ujević-Galetović. Petrić was born in Cres, later taught in Ferrara and Rome and influenced thinkers such as Giordano Bruno. Every September the Days of Frane Petrić philosophy symposium in Cres honours him.
