Church of St Mark (Bućev)

The church of St Mark on the hill above Valun is the last remnant of the old village of Bućev, Valun’s predecessor. Its foundations go back to the 11th century, and the famous Valun tablet was found here. The people of Valun still bury their dead in the cemetery beside it. Nearby is the old Bućev pond, which once watered cattle and fields.
