St Jerome monastery and church

Founded in 1479, the monastery of St Jerome was the starting point for the growth of Martinšćica. The main altarpiece was painted by the Venetian Baldassare d’Anna in 1636, and two votive paintings from 1759 show men of the Harabalja family in Morlach costume. Next to it on the shore stands the Kaštel, a 17th-century manor of the patrician Sforza family around which the village grew.
