Lazaretto – Cres Public Library
The late Gothic lazaretto from the mid 15th century once stood outside the town walls and served as a quarantine station for pilgrims and the sick, later as an almshouse. Since 2005, after a conversion by architect Idris Turato, it has housed the public library. A 14th-century well-curb stands in front, and the Church of the Holy Spirit is next door.
