Martinšćica
Martinšćica is a coastal settlement on Cres named after the seaside Church of St Martin. The present village developed around the monastery and Church of St Jerome, founded in 1479.
Their artworks include a 1636 altarpiece by Baldisser d’Anna and votive paintings by Leopold Jandt. A seventeenth-century castle also forms part of the village’s heritage. Ask ahead about access to the church and monastery spaces.
