Blue Cave beach (Plava Grota)

The beach by the Blue Cave lies in Žanja bay below Lubenice, with medium pebbles that make getting into the sea easy. The roughly 20 m long cave has two entrances: the large one can be reached by swimming or small boat, the narrow one only by diving. In the late afternoon the light makes the water inside glow blue. The easiest access is by rental boat or taxi boat from Martinšćica, on foot from Lubenice it takes 30 to 40 minutes down and up to 1.5 hours back up. No shade, no facilities, dogs allowed.
