SeaHelp
SeaHelp is a maritime assistance service operating in European waters, including Croatia. It provides support for boaters in situations such as breakdowns, towing, technical issues, and emergencies at sea. The service is available to members and focuses on ensuring safety and assistance directly on the water.
SeaHelp offers various services including on-site repairs, towing to the nearest harbor, fuel delivery, and technical support. In case of emergencies, rapid response teams are deployed to assist as quickly as possible. The organization operates with specialized boats and trained personnel to handle different situations at sea.
Membership models are available, allowing boat owners to access services when needed. SeaHelp is active along popular boating regions and aims to provide reliable support for recreational and professional boaters navigating coastal and offshore areas.
SEA EMERGENCY APP
The idea behind the SeaHelp app for smartphones (iOS and Android) is as simple as its operation: in an emergency, when things become hectic on board, you can send an emergency call with just two clicks. At the same time, the exact position of the person in need and their mobile phone number are transmitted to the operations center.
To do this, simply move the red emergency button in the SeaHelp app from left to right and confirm the call. The phone automatically sends an emergency SMS to the SeaHelp control center, including both the phone number and the current location data. A SeaHelp staff member immediately calls back to assess the situation. Depending on the circumstances, a SeaHelp rescue boat is dispatched and/or further measures are initiated without delay.
It is also worth exploring the additional features of the app: SeaHelp news, weather alerts, current position coordinates, a compass, a fuel station map, a tide calendar, and the option to request an insurance quote can all be found in the menu.
The app is already installed on around 30,000 mobile devices and has become an essential tool for skippers in the areas supported by SeaHelp.
