Hard – Shepherd’s Trail – Route 441
This short but demanding trail is perfect for experienced cyclists looking to challenge their strength and endurance. Despite its length, the terrain offers steep climbs and technical sections, making it a powerful ride.
The route starts in Punat with a steep climb along an ancient path once used by locals to reach their fields and olive groves. After a short ascent, you reach the Tri križi viewpoint, where you can enjoy stunning views over Punat, the surrounding nature and the islet of Košljun.
The trail continues with a gentle uphill before turning into a descent on macadam roads, followed by a more technical narrow path along dry stone walls and olive groves all the way down to the coast.
The final section leads through Marina Punat and back into the town centre, finishing the route with a more relaxed ride.
