Soline Bay Healing Mud

In the bay of Soline near Čižići and Klimno, you’ll find one of the most unique natural experiences on the island of Krk: the famous healing mud.

This natural mud, known as peloid, formed over thousands of years through the layering of fine sediments. It is rich in minerals such as iodine and sulfur and is believed to have beneficial effects on the skin, joints, and rheumatic conditions.

Many visitors cover themselves in the dark mud and let it dry in the sun before washing it off in the shallow sea. The water here warms up quickly, making it a popular spot from early spring to late autumn.
