Exhibition "First on the Adriatic" & Launch of the Wooden Boat "Jaruška" (Šilo)
Discover the maritime history of Krk and Crikvenica at the exhibition "First on the Adriatic", on display from 5 July to 30 August 2026 in Šilo.
The exhibition tells the story of the legendary ferry Bodulka, which operated the Crikvenica–Šilo ferry route and became the first ferry service on the Adriatic. You'll also learn about the development of the Port of Crikvenica, historic steamship connections, the origins of Šilo, and how these transport links eventually led to the construction of the Krk Bridge.
The event also celebrates the launch of the traditional wooden boat Jaruška, highlighting the rich maritime heritage of the region.
The exhibition is open daily from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and admission is free.
