Church of St. John
The Church of St John above Baška is one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the island. Located on a hill northeast of the town, it offers a stunning panoramic view over Baška, Vela Plaža and the surrounding islands.
From the plateau in front of the church, you get a wide open view that makes this spot perfect for photos, especially at sunrise or sunset.
The church itself has a long history. In the Middle Ages, it was the first parish church of the old Baška settlement. Its bell tower still holds a historic bell from 1431, known as Starac. Nearby, you can also find the remains of the old fortress, adding to the special atmosphere of this place.
