Moon Plateau

The Moon Plateau (Plato Mjeseca) above Baška is one of the most fascinating and surreal landscapes on Krk Island. As the name suggests, the terrain looks almost like the surface of the moon – rocky, dry and shaped by strong winds over centuries.

Located above Baška, the plateau offers breathtaking views over the Baška Valley, the Adriatic Sea and the Velebit mountains. The contrast between the lush valley below and the barren stone landscape above makes this place truly unique.

The area is also marked by traditional dry stone walls, grazing sheep and old stone structures that reflect the connection between nature and human life on the island.
