Fried Julius Schüler

Memorial to Friedrich Julius Schüler, director of the Austrian Southern Railway company. Under his leadership the railway bought land in Opatija from 1882 and turned the fishing village into a fashionable resort with hotels such as the Quarnero, today the Kvarner.
