Juraj Šporer Art Pavilion

Built by the sea next to St. James Church in 1900, the pavilion first housed Emil Gerbeaud’s pastry shop, after whom the žarbo cake is named. Since the 1930s it has been an exhibition space. It is named after the physician Juraj Matija Šporer, a pioneer of Opatija as a health resort.
