Mošćenice

This hilltop village sits about 173 m above Mošćenička Draga, with stone houses, narrow lanes and views across Kvarner Bay to Rijeka, Krk and Cres. First mentioned as an independent community in 1374. The town gate shows the Habsburg crest and the year 1654, and the village has been protected heritage since 1968. Around 750 steps lead up from Sv. Ivan beach.
