Veprinac

A medieval village on the slopes of Učka overlooking Kvarner Bay. The name comes from the evergreen shrub veprina. You enter through a town gate with three openings. The old municipal house, the komunšćica, holds an ethnographic collection, and the parish church of St. Mark has a distinctive bell tower. Reachable by car or on a hiking trail.
