The four bell towers of Rab

The island’s emblem: seen from the sea, the four bell towers of the old town look like a ship with four masts. They belong to the Romanesque Cathedral of the Assumption, the ruined church of St John the Evangelist, St Andrew’s church and St Justine’s church. The oldest tower dates from the 11th century. The cathedral keeps the skull of St Christopher, the town’s patron saint, in a reliquary. St Justine’s now houses a collection of sacred art.
