Rab’s naturist tradition

Rab is one of the cradles of Adriatic naturism. Kandarola on the Frkanj peninsula is among the oldest naturist beaches in the world – legend says Edward VIII swam here with Wallis Simpson. Taxi boats run from Rab town and Palit. In the north, Sahara near Lopar is the best-known naturist beach, remote and without facilities. Nudity is customary on designated beaches only, and photographing others is taboo. Bring water and sun protection; shade is scarce.
