Kamenjak at sunrise

At 408 m Kamenjak is Rab’s highest point, with views of the Velebit wall to the east and Kvarner Bay to the west. The ridge is bare with almost no shade, so start at sunrise or go in spring or autumn. Experienced hikers can do the 12 km Mišnjak–Lopar route over Kamenjak, which includes scrambling over boulders. A small restaurant sits partway up – check if it is open. Bring sturdy shoes, plenty of water and a windproof jacket; the bora can make the top unpleasant.
