Sahara instead of Rajska: sand without the crowds

Rajska plaža is famous – nearly 2 km of sand, Blue Flag, aqua parks – and therefore busy in summer. Walk about 30 minutes north to Sahara, Stolac and Livačina for quiet sand. Sahara is the island’s best-known naturist beach and has no facilities at all, so bring water, food, sun protection and a bag for rubbish. Dog owners will find Pod pećine cove in between. Families with small children are better off at Rajska plaža.
