Town walls & Duke’s Palace Rab

The old town sits on a narrow tongue of land enclosed by ancient walls – Emperor Augustus already built town walls here and made Arba a municipium. The fortifications include the Tower of the Bold and the Tower of St Christopher. The Duke’s Palace by the harbour combines Gothic and Renaissance styles in its tower.
