Bakar’s Old Town preserves traces of its trading and seafaring history. Attractions include the Frankopan Castle, Turkish House and so-called Roman House.

Despite its name, Roman House has neo-Renaissance features. Turkish House’s origins are not fully established; romantic stories about it are legends. Historic stone measures for salt and grain recall local trade. Check individual venues’ visiting arrangements separately.
