Church of the Assumption and the Leaning Tower
A Roman bath stood here in the 1st century, and part of it later became an early Christian place of worship. The church is documented from the 15th century, while an inscription on the bell tower dates from 1377. The tower leans by about 40 cm, likely due to late antique foundations and groundwater. Baroque rebuilding took place 1716 to 1726, the classical façade was added in 1842.
