Platak

Rijeka’s home mountain: this ski and hiking area lies about 20 km from the city at around 1,100 m. In winter there is alpine and Nordic skiing, in summer Platak is the starting point for hikes into Risnjak National Park, for example up Snježnik (1,506 m) or Veliki Risnjak (1,528 m). On clear days the summits look all the way to the sea.
