Senj City Museum

Senj City Museum is housed in the Vukasović family palace in the old town and also manages Nehaj Fortress.

Senj was an early centre of Glagolitic script: a Glagolitic printing press was founded here as early as 1494 and produced incunabula such as the Glagolitic Missal. The remains of the Glagolitic Senj Tablet date from around 1100.

Events are held at the museum throughout the year, including Museum Night in January, Croatian Glagolitic Day in February and International Museum Day in May.
