Beaches in Senj

The Senj Tourist Board lists five bathing spots in and around town:

• Gradsko kupalište Škver – the town beach right by the old town, pebbles, venue of the carnival’s kids foam party in August

• Prva Draga – pebble beach north of town

• Banja

• Lukovo – in the village of the same name on the Senj riviera

• Uvala Vlaška – designated dog beach

The coast is mostly rocky, so water shoes help. During bora the sea can turn rough and cold suddenly, even in summer.
